Description

The normally-open solenoid valve situated between the master cylinder and brake caliper can maintain or reduce fluid pressure when a vehicle is idling or starting up. Brake pressure is retained for brief a moment after the driver releases the brake pedal while the vehicle is stationary. The brake pressure is automatically released when the vehicle starts again, facilitating smooth start-off.
